If you'd like to limit your Nudge Security analysis to only a subset of users in your Google Workspace environment (e.g., a pilot group or specific department), you can do so by creating a Google Group and providing its name and external ID to our support team before completing your initial configuration.

Steps to Scope Your Analysis

  1. Create a Google Group

    • Create a new group in your Google Workspace Admin console

    • Add only the users you’d like Nudge Security to analyze during the trial period or beyond

  2. Get the Group’s External ID

    • You can find this ID in the Google Workspace Admin console by going to Directory > Groups > Selecting the group. Once you've selected the group the ID will be in the URL:

    • Share this ID and the group name with the Nudge Security support team

  3. Start Your Nudge Trial (But Pause Configuration)

    • Begin your Nudge Security trial, but do not proceed with configuring your organization yet

    • Wait for confirmation from the Nudge Security team that your scoping configuration has been completed on our end

  4. Complete Setup and Begin Analysis

    • Once you receive confirmation, proceed with configuring your organization in Nudge

    • Your first analysis will be scoped only to the users in the group you created

After this you can continue adding users to that specific group for analysis.

Please Note

If you've already configured your instance these steps do not apply. Please contact us for additional assistance.
