The App Directory in Nudge Security is your organization’s trusted hub for finding and accessing approved software and services. Instead of guessing whether an app is safe or manually requesting access, you can quickly check the App Directory to see what tools are centrally managed, secure, and ready to use. Once you request access to an app you'll send a nudge to the technical contact for the app who will review your request and decide to give you access to the app.
By using the App Directory, you help your organization:
Keep company data secure
Reduce duplicate or unauthorized tools
Save time by accessing apps your IT/security teams already support
Requesting access to an app
You can go to Apps > App Directory to view all apps available for your organization.
Once you click into an app you'll be able to use the Request access to this app button which will nudge the technical contact for that app informing them that a user is requesting access.
What happens after you submit a request
Your request is sent as a nudge to the app's technical contact. They'll see who's requesting access and can approve or follow up with you directly. Turnaround depends on your organization — some teams respond within hours, others may take a day or two. If you haven't heard back after a reasonable amount of time, follow up with your IT or security team.
Best practices to remember
Always start with the App Directory before signing up for a new tool
Bookmark the App Directory for quick access
Share links to the App Directory when recommending tools to coworkers
If you find outdated or incorrect info in the directory, report it to your IT/security team
Why use the App Directory
When you sign up for apps independently, your security team may not know about it until after the fact — which sometimes means you'll get a nudge asking you to justify the signup or switch to an approved alternative. Starting with the App Directory avoids that friction entirely. The apps listed there are already vetted and supported by your organization.
